# Oct 9, 2026 Model Deprecation Notice

> Novita retires the deepseek/deepseek-v4-flash large language model at 16:00 UTC on Oct 9, 2026. Migrate to deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash before the cutoff.

As we release better and more powerful models, we routinely retire older ones. We plan to take `deepseek/deepseek-v4-flash` offline at **16:00 UTC on October 9, 2026**. At that point, the model will officially be taken out of service, so please complete your migration to the recommended replacement model, `deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash`, before then.
